Tay Dall

Tay Dall was born in Cape Town in 1966. Dall began doing art classes at the age of 8 years old. She finished her education with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Michael’s School of Art at the University of Cape Town. In 1988 she immigrated with her family to Los Angeles, California. While there she worked in the film industry, and studied computer graphics. She also began exhibiting her work in various venues in her free time. The success she received in America led to a full-time career as an artist. Dall decided to return to South Africa permanently in 1995, she currently paints from her studio in Hermanus in the Western Cape.
Dall’s work has been described as that which embodies an energy and passion with imaginative mediums, subjects, themes, colours, and styles. Her work is unique and unforgettable as can be attested by the thousands of private and corporate collectors who have invested in her artistic vision. Her work has been shown in more than 90 exhibitions throughout the world. It is represented by over 30 local and international galleries including one of her signature galleries, The Tay Modern-Hermanus.
